The Association was formed on 1st July 2016 following a spontaneous meeting that was held after the tragic death of Alhaji Siddique Sesay, who was a Birmingham, based Sierra Leonean.

One of the fundamental aims and objectives of the association is to promote community cohesion. We are passionately working towards developing a community in which there is a common vision and sense of belonging by everyone; a community in which the diversity of people’s backgrounds and circumstances is appreciated and valued; and a community in which strong and positive relationships exist and continue to be developed. Full details about the association’s aims and objectives are clearly articulated and enshrined in the Association’s constitution.
